Many churches have renewed interest in the reading of scripture in worship services. Using Bible readings in worship is vital to discipleship of our congregations. Unfortunately, the delivery of scripture readings is often drab and boring, not bringing the Bible to life for the hearers. My friend and colleague, Scott Shepherd, from the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, has done some great work on equipping readers for public scripture reading. Use these materials to help your people bring the scriptures to life in your church.
