Classes for Video Techs Offered at the EXPO

The EXPO will offer three amazing classes for video techs taught by Jonathan Boggs, founder/minister of Digital Storytelling and Parable Media.

Livestreaming Basics.

Are you trying to start livestreaming your church’s worship services? This session will go through the basic components of a church friendly livestreaming setup, sharing practical tips to help your church better share the gospel in a digital space.

Getting Started with Creative Video.

Videos are a powerful tool to help share stories that can inspire your community and share your identity. This session will help you to get started with creative video production by going through what you need to be successful, and how to use the right equipment to create impactful videos for your church’s ministries.

Video Editing Basics

So you’ve spent days recording video clips for a project, now what? This session will help you better understand what you need for an efficient editing workstation, and is full of practical tips for common edits you may have to make in a project. All editing tips will be shown in Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects.

I have been working with digital media since 2011 when I began creating video content for First Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC. Since then I have continued to pursue my passion for sharing the stories of others through visual storytelling with all types of media. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with many different people and travel to some beautiful places as I continue to improve my craft. In December of 2014 I graduated from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington with a degree in computer science and a concentration in digital arts, and in December of 2018 I graduated from Campbell University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity. I was ordained in October of 2021 by First Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC. Currently I am pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry at Campbell University Divinity School with a focus on doing ministry outside the walls of the church. I live in Knightdale, NC with my wife Deanna.
