There is always much to look forward to and celebrate at the Annual Meeting of N.C. Baptists. In a time where many are divided, including Christians, we are planning and praying for sweet times of unity through worship as the body of Christ exalts His name together!

Every year, we are led in worship by musicians from N.C. Baptist churches across our state who have a passion for helping God’s people voice their praise. This year is no different in that regard, but the ‘who’ is different at the 2025 Annual Meeting.

This past summer, N.C. Baptists celebrated twenty-five years of ministry to youth and their leaders through the BeDoTell (BDT) team, led by Merrie Johnson. 2025 also marked seventy-five years of ministry at the NC Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell. A countless number of lives have been impacted through these ministries — many of YOU have a story of how the ministry of Caswell and/or the BeDoTell team has changed the trajectory of your life. God has done a mighty work that cannot be quantified.

Additionally, we look forward to having Shane Pruitt deliver the convention sermon on Tuesday afternoon. Shane serves as the National Next Gen Director for the North American Mission Board (NAMB). He has been in ministry for over 20 years as a church planter, lead pastor, and student pastor. In recent years, Shane has partnered with N.C. Baptists to preach at BDT Youth Camps at Fort Caswell and in the mountains.

Given this year’s celebration of Next Gen ministries, the worship music at all sessions of the 2025 Annual Meeting will be led by a BDT Alumni Band. Members of this band served on BDT for multiple years ranging from the early 2000s to the present. Currently, they all serve in various capacities at N.C. Baptist churches across our state.

This team is excited and ready to lead you in worship of Christ that transcends style or time period. As always, we’ll gather to sing hymns, modern worship songs, classic worship songs, and modern hymns. We encourage you to come eager to lift Jesus high through song and pray for this team and one another — that God would use these times of worship to further unite and catalyze us as a movement of churches to be on mission together.

Prepare to sing with us by listening to the songs that we’ll sing in advance of the Annual Meeting. The first session will be preceded by a time of worship that walks us through the last twenty-five years of Christian worship. Join the BeDoTell Alumni Band at 6:15pm on Monday evening — we’ll leave those songs as a surprise. But below, you’ll find YouTube links for most of the songs we’ll be singing together.
